I grew up in small town Iowa surrounded by cornfields, sports, and of course, humidity. After graduating high school in 2012 I played college volleyball at Indian Hills Community College and later transferred to Brigham Young University- Idaho to complete my bachelors degree in Secondary English Education. After graduating in 2016 I immediately moved to the beautiful state of Arizona where I married my husband, a Mesa High School graduate and college basketball coach. I have the pleasure of teaching Honors Sophomore and Junior English, as well as coaching Girls Volleyball and Sand Volleyball here at Dobson High School. This year will be my fifth year in the land of the Mustangs as both a teacher and coach. I truly love my students and what I do. I look forward to building strong relationships with my students and teaching them meaningful content while increasing their reading, writing, speaking, listening, and critical thinking skills
Times are weird right now and I acknowledge that. It is my goal to make learning easy to navigate while meaningful.
In my spare time enjoy watching sports, traveling, reading, and spending time with my husband and our adorable dog.
