Chief Master Sergeant “DJ” Staflin is the newest member of the Dobson High School Air Force Junior ROTC instructor cadre.  Chief Staflin was born in Sierra Vista, Arizona and is a 1982 graduate of Meade Senior High School, Fort George G. Meade, Maryland.  He entered the Air Force in 1983 as a telecommunications systems equipment maintenance specialist.  His military background includes various duties in the communications maintenance field, to include, electronic installation, base communications, tactical air control, combat communications, and special operations.  He also served as a student training advisor, technical training instructor, and professional military educator, as an Airman Leadership School Commandant and NCO Academy Director of Education.  His deployment experience includes support of Operations IRAQI FREEDOM, ENDURING FREEDOM, and JOINT TASK FORCE HORN OF AFRICA.  After dedicating over 28 years of service to our great nation, Chief Staflin retired from active duty on 1 August 2011.
