I have been teaching for Mesa Public Schools for 25 years.  I spent 15 years at Hendrix Jr. High teaching 9th grade science and biology.  I coached Spiritline and served as department chair before leaving the junior high.

Here at Dobson, I teach biology.  For the fourth year, I am one of the Site Based Online Instructional Design Coaches. As a design coach, I will be teaching our staff how to use Canvas, our online learning management system and other technologies that will engage our students in a 1:1 Blended Learning environment.

I am a member of the AVID Site Team and the 1:1 Blended Learning Team.  I also participate and lead Professional Learning Communities on and off campus.

Both of my degrees are from Northern Arizona University.  I hold a B.S. in Secondary Health and Biology Education. My Masters is in Educational Leadership.  I continue to take classes that will benefit my student's learning and I look forward to teaching them and inspiring them to be life long learners.

Off campus, I am a mother of two amazing sons.  They are very active in school, sports and music programs. I volunteer with a horse therapy charity 2 times a week. The picture above is of my favorite mare, Jewel.  She is great with our special needs clients.  I am glad I have the opportunity to have your children in my class room and hope to learn about some of their interests too.
