I have been teaching for Mesa Public Schools for 28 years.  I spent 15 years at Hendrix Jr. High teaching 9th grade science and biology.  I coached Spiritline and served as department chair before leaving the junior high.

Here at Dobson, I teach biology.  For five years, I was one of the Site Based Online Instructional Design Coaches, teaching our staff how to use Canvas. I will continue to use this coaching experience and other technologies that engage our students in a 1:1 Blended Learning environment.

I am a member of the AVID Site Team and try to promote college for all of my students. I also participate in Professional Learning Communities on and off campus.

Both of my degrees are from Northern Arizona University.  I hold a B.S. in Secondary Health and Biology Education. My Masters is in Educational Leadership.  I continue to take classes that will benefit my student's learning and I look forward to teaching them and inspiring them to be life long learners.

Off campus, I am a mother of two amazing sons.  I volunteer with an equine therapy charity 2 times a week. The picture above is of my favorite mare, Jewel.  She is great with our special needs clients.  I am glad I have the opportunity to have your children in my class room and hope to learn about some of their interests too.
