Biography

I graduated from the University of Arizona in 1990 with a BS degree in mathematics and a minor in computer science. After graduating, I worked for Digital Equipment Corporation for about nine years. When Compaq bought out Digital and my group was laid off, I took the opportunity to stay home with my children.  In 2012, I decided to become a substitute teacher primarily for high school math.  I enjoyed this experience and decided to go back to school last summer to become a "real" teacher.  In June, I graduated from Arizona State University with a Masters in Secondary Education Mathematics along with an Arizona Teaching Certificate.

I am excited to be at Dobson High School teaching Geometry and College Algebra this year.  I was a student teacher at Dobson this last spring and I loved the students, fellow teachers, and the positive atmosphere.

In the past I have enjoyed coaching youth soccer and volleyball. I have a passion for reading, learning, chocolate, and regularly endure working out. (I usually enjoy it by the time I am done.) I have been married for 26 years and have six children and one grandson.
