I grew up in the Philippines. When I was 20 years old, I immigrated here to the USA. I attended Brigham Young University-Hawaii and obtained a bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems. Three years later, I earned a master's in Information Systems at Golden Gate University in San Francisco, California. More recently, I obtained my Post Baccalaureate Teaching Certification in Special Education from Rio Salado College.
I am married and have four wonderful sons, two of whom are married. I also have an adorable baby grandson named Auggie! My passion is life-long learning, from sharpening old skills to pursuing new interests. I love traveling. I was able to check off one of the items on my Bucket List - to travel to the Galapagos Islands. I saw a variety of finches in Charles Darwin Research Station, stood face-to-face with giant tortoises in El Chato Tortoise Reserve and walked the beaches with at least 3-ft. iguanas.
