Lt Colonel Greensfelder has been the Senior Aerospace Science Instructor at Dobson High School since 2005.  The unit’s mission is to build better citizens for America.  

Colonel Greensfelder graduated from Miami University (Ohio) in 1976 where he was a four year ROTC Scholarship Cadet.  He was commissioned a Second Lieutenant and entered active duty as a Titian II missile officer at Davis-Monthan AFB in Tucson, Arizona. After Davis-Monthan he went to Ellsworth AFB, South Dakota where he was Mission Commander and Chief of Training on the EC-135 airborne command and control aircraft.  Following Ellsworth, Lt Colonel Greensfelder served five years with the Air Force Audit Agency in New Mexico, South Korea and California.   From California he went to Air Command and Staff College, then to Naples Italy working for the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Southern Region Headquarters as a logistics planner during the crisis in Bosnia.  From NATO Lt Colonel Greensfelder continued his tour of Europe as Director of Operations in the Air Mobility Support Squadron (AMSS) at Royal Air Force Mildenhall, United Kingdom, where he deployed to Prince Sultan Air Base, Saudi Arabia in support of Operation SOUTHERN WATCH as the AMSS Commander.  From there he served as the AMSS Commander at Incirlik Air Base, Turkey supporting Operation NORTHERN WATCH.  Col Greensfelder returned to RAF Mildenhall and Headquarters Third Air Force as Chief, Plans and Exercises Branch.  While at Headquarters Third Air Force, Colonel Greensfelder helped coordinate the largest bed down of US aircraft in the United Kingdom since WWII; in support of Operation NOBLE ANVIL (the Kosovo contingency).  When the bed down was complete, he deployed to Albania as US Liason to NATO Combined Task Force and then Operations Officer for Joint Task Force SHINING HOPE (the humanitarian relief operation in support of the Kosovar refugees).  Also while at Third Air Force, Colonel Greensfelder deployed to Headquarters European Command as  the Joint Task Force Atlas Response Liaison Officer in support of  flood relief efforts in Mozambique and South Africa.

Colonel Greensfelder is married to the former Saundra Evans from Point Pleasant, New Jersey.  They have three sons, Steven, Scott, and Jeff.  Steven and Scott served as officers in the navy and Jeff is a captain in the USAF flying C-17s.
