HOME SCHOOL COMMUNICATION!!!
Parents may access the district computer grading system to check the grades of their students. A pin-number and instructions can be obtained from the Dobson High administratove offices in order to be able to take advantage of this service.
GRADING POLICY: Grades will be based on writing assignments, tests and quizzes, homework, and class participation.
Grades will be determined on a point-total basis:
90-100% A
80-89.9% B
70-79.9% C
60-69.9% D
0-59.9% F
FINAL EXAM DATES: Last two days of each semester. There are final exams for all classes
HOMEWORK POLICY: Homework is expected to
be completed on time. ROUTINE HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENTS ARE NOT ACCEPTED LATE except as makeup work for an excused absence. Major assignments are accepted late with penalties.
MAKE-UP POLICY:
Students have one week to complete make-up work after
returning from absences. Exceptions are granted for prolonged absences or special circumstances. It is the individual student’s responsibility to approach the teacher for make-up work.
PASS POLICY: Passes are issued at the teacher’s discretion. Students are encouraged to use the restrooms and drinking fountains during the 7-minute break between classes.

EXTRA HELP/TUTORING INFORMATION
Mr. Havig will be available before and after school, during lunch, and during conference period for extra help or tutoring. Dobson also offers tutoring through its student success program. Students whose grades fall below 75% will be expected to seek extra help outside of class (Seeing a teacher during lunch will require a pass. Get one from Mr. Havig during class time.)
MUSTANG CONFERENCE PERIOD
Mustang Conference Period is before 3rd period, Monday through Friday. Students will not leave their Conference Period classroom without a pass signed by a teacher or a properly designated color club passes. Students who remain in class will be expected to use the time in conference for academic purposes such as reading, studying, or reviewing class materials.
