Mr. Scott Mohn
Assistant Principal/Athletic Director - 11th Grade
Biography
I am proud to be a Mustang, and excited to begin my fifth year as Dobson's Athletic Director and Assistant Principal for the Junior class. This is my nineteenth year in public education, and during that time I have coached football, baseball, and softball.
I grew up in St. Petersburg, Florida, and am originally from Peoria, Illinois. I attended the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida, majoring in History. I began my career in education teaching Social Studies for Pinellas County Schools, in Florida for seven years. In 2008, I relocated to Chandler, Arizona where I taught Social Studies at Williams Field High School in the Higley Unified School District. I served as the Social Studies Department Chair, Leadership Team member, Site Council member, Professional Learning Community Team Leader, and mentored new teachers over a five-year period. I completed my MEd from Northern Arizona University in the spring of 2013. Prior to joining Dobson, I was the Athletic Director at Westview High School in the Tolleson Union High School District for two years.
Thank you for being so supportive, and I look forward to working with you this year. It is my privilege to serve the students, staff, and community at Dobson High School. Go Mustangs!!!
Sincerely,
Scott
