Important Friday Information for Families:

Program Hours for K-8 students: 8:30 - 3:25

  • K-2 students remain with a homeroom teacher and have specials like PE, Music, Computers, and Library

  • 3rd-8th grade students rotate every 55 minutes to Computers, Composition, Coding, Science, Art, Music, and PE, with the option of Orchestra

Due to the number of instructional minutes that 7th and 8th graders are required to have in the state of Arizona, Eagleridge has always expected 7th and 8th graders to complete more hours on another day of the program.  Friday alone does not meet the minutes necessary for Eagleridge to receive funding.  Therefore, 7th and 8th grade students will need to come an additional day; Monday or Tuesday/Thursday OR choose the following option so we were able to keep the program funded.

Friday 7th & 8th grade students who choose to attend on Friday only will also be enrolled in the Student Council Connections class that will meet the following days and times:

Tues., Oct. 23-8:30-3:30-In this session, the students will be introduced to Pictavo, which is the yearbook software program that we will be using this year.  They will help decide on the theme of the yearbook.  They will learn how to use the school cameras correctly and how to take candid photos.  They will be assigned to classrooms to take candid photos.

Tues., Dec. 11-8:30-3:30- In this session, the students spend time taking photos and learn how to download and edit them on the computer.  They will begin to design and create pages for the yearbook using the Pictavo Software Program. The students will brainstorm and fill out a page ladder of what will go on each page of the yearbook.

Tues., Jan. 15-8:30-3:30- In this session, the students will continue to create pages for the yearbook.  They will also begin creating flyers and announcements through Google Docs to help to promote and advertise the yearbook.

Tues., Feb. 12-8:30-3:30- In this session, the students will take any final pictures that are needed. They will edit and finalize all the pages that they have been working on.
