I am very excited to be starting my seventh year at Eagleridge! I am looking forward to another wonderful school year. We have an amazing group of children and families at our school, which makes Eagleridge the ideal place to teach! I received both my bachelor's and master's degree from Arizona State University. I taught several years for Gilbert Public Schools and Kyrene School District, teaching primarily third, fourth, and fifth grades. I have been married for over 19 years to my wonderful husband, Jay. We have three children, a sixteen year-old son and eleven year-old twin girls. In order to be home with my children, I decided to take a leave from teaching after my twins were born. My girls are now in sixth grade, and I couldn't be more thrilled to be teaching at Eagleridge!
This year, I will be teaching the 4th-8th grade block classes on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Students in all of my block classes will be participating in a variety of collaborative, project-based activities. I will also be integrating technology into these activities whenever applicable, as well. My goal is to provide a high-interest, engaging, and hands-on learning environment. In order to create a positive classroom atmosphere, I ask that each student actively participates in class, works cooperatively with others, and tries their best.
