No. All students clothing must fit with District Guidelines, but we do not have a uniform policy.  The MPS Dress Code is found here...http://www.mpsaz.org/students/dresscode

5. What if my child is sick?
Please call 480-472-5282 to let the school know the reason your child will be out.  You will get an automated call to let you know your child is absent.  It is the family's responsibility to contact the school for this notification.

Attendance letters are sent when students have missed too many days of school.  Students that are notified and do not improve will be cited to court to deal with the attendance issues they are having.

6. How do I find out about assignments or homework?
Call or email the teacher directly.  All staff has voicemail and email for their classes.  Go to staff link to find that information for your child's class.

7.  How do I find out about school events?
The website is the most current and accurate source for information.
Edison also produces a newsletter 1-2 times per month.  It is also available on the web. You can link to past newsletters by clicking here.

8.  What is ECA?
ECA is a tax credit program that lets Arizona taxpayers designate money for school programs.  Last year, Edison offered 7 different clubs to students based on this funding.  Three other grade levels were able to fund field trips from ECA funds.

Visit the MPS page to learn more about donating to support our programs.

9. What do kids do for fun at your school?
Edison offers a variety of experiences for students from fine arts to sports.  There are several clubs run after school which are tuition based and students in grades 4-6 can participate in Art class as well as band and orchestra programs. Intramural Sports is a program for grades 4-6 sponsored by our PE department during student lunch blocks.  Last year, students played football, soccer and volleyball.

10. How does Edison do academically?
Our students and staff worked very hard to achieve our goals last year.  We earned a C from the state from ADE for our performance.  We have been at that level for 3 straight years.

Edison teachers offered tutoring and academic clubs to help students improve their skills.  We are very proud of the learning environment we work to create for students and their families.
