Mr. Brian Bradshaw
6th Grade Teacher
Welcome to my classroom! This is my 30th year of teaching, all at Edison. I have my bachelors degree from Brigham Young University and my masters degree from Northern Arizona University. I am certified in both Special Education and Elementary Education. I have my reading, SEI, and ESL endorsements. I have taught 5th and 6th grades. This year I will be teaching 6th grade ELA and Science.
We will be using a variety of sources to create written assignments. The writing will be done in three areas. The students will be learning argument, informative and narrative writing. We will be doing some small research reports throughout the year.
The Science program will include a variety of hands on activities that will be provided throughout the year. The areas of study will include: Cells to Systems; Powering Our Future; Oceanography and Extreme Weather. We will also be a part of the district's Space Shuttle Simulation program in April.
I am looking forward to a great year of school and a chance to get to know a new group of 6th grade students.
