I am both delighted and enthusiastic to be one of the School Counselors at Edison Elementary for the 2021-2022 school year. It is my passion to work with students and to help them develop skills that will translate throughout their lives. I believe strongly in each student at Edison, and I will work tirelessly beside them to build confidence, establish coping skills, create goals, pursue dreams, and to develop the understanding that they have the potential to do anything they set their minds to.
This is my third year as a School Counselor with Mesa Public Schools and my second year at Edison Elementary. Prior to being at Edison, I was the School Counselor at Guerrero Elementary School, Lowell Elementary School in San Jose, CA and Pioneer High School in San Jose, CA. I graduated from San Jose State University with both a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a Masters in Education with a concentration in Counseling and Student Personnel. Additional credentials include: Pupil Personnel Services Credential, as well as, my Arizona School Counselor, PreK-12 Certificate and a K-12 Teaching Certificate.
When I am away from school, I enjoy traveling the world, working out, hiking, cooking and weekend adventures with my husband and dog. A few of my favorite places I have traveled are: Croatia, Morocco, Spain, Japan, and Peru. My husband and I are also expecting a daughter this December.
Please feel free to contact me with any counseling needs you may have! I look forward to working with our Edison Elementary students and families.
