Edison Elementary Rm 7

Hello, this is my 10th year working for Mesa Public Schools. I am the Kindergarten-2nd grade Resource Teacher at Edison. I previously worked for the Special Education Department in Mesa as the Lead MI/MO/SID Coach.  Before that I was the Autism Specialist for Elementary. Before taking the district position I was a Special Education Teacher at Edison so it's nice to come back.   I am very excited to be teaching in this district.  I grew up in the Mesa Public Schools. I attended Longfellow, Mesa Jr. , and I'm a Mesa High Jackrabbit! For myself, this feels like coming home.

I previously taught in the Chandler School District.  I taught in a Self-Contained Autism Program before coming to Mesa. Prior to that I worked for the Gilbert Public School District in a Self-Contained MOID and Kindergarten Autism classroom.

I am a graduate of Arizona State University. I received a Bachelors Degree in  Special Education. I have my dual certification in Elementary Education K-8 and Special Education where I have my Cross-Categorical certificate in K-12.

On a different note, I am a mother of three boys My oldest son Austin is 27, Nicholas is 22, and Wyatt is 15. My two oldest sons are graduates of Mesa High.

Some of the things I love to do in my spare time is to travel and explore historical sites and places. I enjoy spending time with my family. I am also a huge Arizona Diamondbacks fan! My family and I love to attend as many games as possible during the season.

I'm looking forward to this school year and watching your child grow and reach their fullest potential. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me.
