Class Dojo: Please sign up for Class Dojo! Each fifth grade teacher is connected and are easily accessible via the app! It is a quick way to get ahold of us and keep track of how your student is doing in our classes. We post points, class pictures, announcements, etc.!
Monthly Calendar: I utilize Google Docs to create a classroom calendar that is easy to edit and share with students and families. Each month I create a shareable link to the calendar and update as we go! This is something that all students/parents need to check on a regular basis, as it reveals all the assignments and agendas for each weekday. Click the link below to view.
Welcome to 5th Grade!
Hello! My name is Paige Kistner, and I am looking forward to being your teacher this year! I am originally from San Diego, California, but after getting my Bachelors Degree in Communication at the University of Arizona, I decided to stay and live in Arizona full-time! I currently live in Mesa and graduated with a Masters Degree in Elementary Education at Arizona State University in May of 2020. In addition to my college degrees, I also have Minors in both Leadership and Marketing.
I began my teaching career at Guerrero Elementary working with the reading intervention team. I have enjoyed teaching 5th and 6th grade Writing and Social Studies at Edison! During my time at Edison, I have completed the Structured English Immersion, SEI Endorsement (45 hrs.), was the recipient of three state grants, and completed numerous job-related trainings.
In my spare time, I enjoy being a dog mom to my Plott Hound/Greyhound, Nelly! She's 4 years old & comes to work with me as a therapy dog. I hope you love meeting with her in person! In addition, I also love to go camping and off-roading in my RZR. I married my best friend, Gage Kistner, on 6/12/2021! See my family picture below!

She LOVES her students affection so much and truly enjoys coming to Edison on a weekly basis.
