2nd grade TerraNova: 2 days of testing
- Reading/Language Arts
- 60 multiple choice items; 1 hour 15 minutes total testing time
(41 minute and 34 minute sessions)
- Mathematics
- 47 multiple choice items; 1 hour total testing time
(two 30 minute sessions)
3rd - 6th grade AIMS(dpa): 4 days of testing
- Reading/Language Arts
- 3 sessions of approximately 90 multiplie choice items
- Mathematics
- 3 sessions of approximately 90 multiplie choice items
- Writing
- Single Prompt (grades 3-5: two sessions, grade 6: one session to complete the writing process.
The Arizona Department of Education website provides both a student guide and sample tests
for each grade level. These can be downloaded by going to http://www.ade.az.gov.
All classroom teachers have copies of these documents.
1st and 2nd grade CRT
- Reading: 2-4 days of testing
- 1st grade: 45 multiple choice, 5 written response items
- 2nd grade: 49 multiple choice, 5 written response items
- Mathematics: 2-4 days of testing
- 1st grade: 40 multiple choice, addition and subtraction facts timed test
- 2nd grade: 50 multiple choice, addition and subtraction facts timed test
