TEC1203: Google Classroom: An Introduction

In this online course you will learn the basics of Google Classroom, including how to set up your Classroom as well as distributing and collecting digital assignments.

TEC1223: Google Classroom: Beyond the Basics

In this course you will learn how to share calendars in Classroom, export grades, and explore technology tools and ways to differentiate that can enhance your Google Classroom. It is recommended that you complete Google Classroom: An Introduction before enrolling in this course. 

TEC 1263: Google Classroom: Streamlining the Workflow

In this course, participants will learn how to set up folders to house templates for assignments in Google Classroom, how to convert existing Office files to Google format for use in Classroom, and learn a variety of Chrome extensions that enhance productivity and workflow.

TEC1188: Managing Teacher & Student Artifacts with Google Drive

The district-provided access to Google Drive from within MPSConnect presents educators with an unlimited cloud storage option that allows access to saved files anytime, anywhere. This course will focus on the use of Google Drive as a solution for storing, organizing and sharing student and teacher artifacts.

TEC1158: YouTube in the Classroom

Learn all about YouTube and maximizing its use in the classroom. Discover tips and tricks to easily locate relevant videos to use in the classroom including creating playlists.

TEC 1265: YouTube Creator Studio

In this course, participants will learn how to use YouTube's Creator Studio to edit their video content, as well as how to splice together video and images to create new video content. This course will also cover how to layer video content in YouTube with end screens and cards, which allow more interactivity with YouTube viewers.

TEC1175: YouTube: Broadcasting Live

With YouTube Live, you can host and broadcast live discussions, newscasts, and performances to the world (or a select group of people) through your YouTube channel.  In this session, participants will learn how to create and schedule a YouTube Live/HOA Event, promote the event online, manage the live broadcast and the recorded video in YouTube.  This session will also cover basic equipment setup for a quality broadcast.  Participants should already have basic knowledge of Hangouts.  Recommended prerequisites: Hangouts: An Introduction (previously named: Hangouts for Connecting Classrooms & Professional Development.)

TEC1136: Hangouts: An Introduction

Google Hangouts is a free video chat service that enables both one-on-one and group video chats providing teachers the opportunity to communicate with other teachers and professionals for networking, professional development and classroom connections no matter where you are. In this session, you will learn how to schedule, start and join a hangout. You will also become familiar with and use some of the key features inside a Hangout.

TEC 1270: Google Slides: Switching It Up

Google Slides is a versatile tool that allows for much more than presentations.  In this course, participants will learn how to customize a slide to use it for a variety of interactive, design, and publishing purposes.

TEC1183: Chrome Web Store: Using Chrome Apps and Extensions to Increase Student Engagement and Productivity

Participants will learn how to use Chrome Apps and Extensions to increase student engagement and productivity. The course will also cover how to search for and add apps and extensions from the Chrome Web Store. Participants will have time to explore and use a variety of apps and extensions for use in the classroom.

TEC1238: Google+: An Introduction

Your MPSConnect Google+ account is a powerful social media tool that can be used to connect professionally with colleagues and other educational professionals within our district and around the country and world. In this session, participants will activate their MPSConnect Google+ account, edit their profile, adjust settings, set notifications, and learn tips & tricks for posting and navigating the Home stream. This is a basic course for people new to Google+.

TEC1135: Google+: Communication and Collaboration

Your MPSConnect Google+ account is a powerful social media tool that can be used to connect professionally with colleagues, other educational professionals, and experts around the country and world.  In Google+, a user can create an environment based on their interests.  This course will focus on communication and collaboration in a professional space. Participants will learn how to find, join, and participate in educational communities, create circles to follow people they "meet", and utilize collections to organize and follow posts. Before enrolling in this course, participants should already have an active MPSConnect Google+ account and be familiar with posting.

TEC1177: Google Forms: An Introduction

Participants will learn the basics of creating, customizing and delivering a Google Form for data collection as well as the ins and outs of the Sheet that collects the data. Forms is a useful tool for information in an easy, streamlined way.

TEC 1269: Google Forms: Quiz Feature

Google Forms now has a built-in quiz feature that allows users to quickly and easily grade multiple-choice, online assessments without an add-on or extension.   This course focuses on creating a Google Form specifically for use as an online, self-grading, multiple choice quiz.

TEC 1268: Google Forms: Advanced Tools

This course is designed for Google Form users that want to do more with forms than just the basics.  Participants will learn how to use branch logic and various add-ons and extensions that will allow for additional quiz grading options and manipulation of the data collected in a form.  A solid understanding of Google Forms basics and Google Sheets is recommended for this course.
