Restarting your Windows Device Regularly Increases Speed and Performance
Restarting your device is different than turning your computer off by selecting “Shut Down”, pushing the button on the side or closing your device and then turning it on again.
Restarting clears your device by closing all apps and clearing the memory. It also checks for updates from the district.
We recommend restarting once a week to keep your device up to date and to increase speed and performance.
- Click on the Windows key in the bottom left-hand corner of your screen or push the Windows key on your keyboard .
- Next, select the Power button then choose Restart from the menu.
*Note: The first time this process is completed, it may take several minutes for it to complete.
