Augmented Reality in Education

aug·men·ted re·al·i·ty

noun: augmented reality
a technology that superimposes a digital image on a user's view of the real world, thus providing a composite view.

Augmented Reality in Education requires the use of a mobile device.  The device could be a tablet, hand held device, or smart phone.  The apps featured are available on both iOS and Android operating systems.

The focus of using augmented reality in education is to bring learning to life and engage learners in new creative ways.  While apps with preloaded content are fun and educational, the real magic comes into play when teachers and students create their own content.
