Ms. Laura Mae Wojciechowicz
I am the Learning Management System Administrator for the Mesa Public School District. I graduated from Arizona State University with my Bachelors in Multilingual/Multicultural Education in 2005. In March of 2013 I completed my Education Specialist degree in Educational Technology through Walden University. I am certified in both elementary and middle school education. I am also fully endorsed to teach English as a Second Language and have a Reading Specialist Endorsement.
Prior to joining the Ed Tech Department, I spent three years at Whittier teaching 5th and 6th grades. I also taught fourth grade in the dual language program at Kelller Elementary. Before coming to Mesa Public Schools, I spent three years in the Isaac School District where I taught 4th grade, 5th grade, and a 5-8 ELD class.
I first started in Ed Tech working on projects such as Teachscape and Acuity. When the district adopted Big Ideas and My Math, I became involved with the account provisioning and support side of adopted district resources. I helped launch Clever as the MPS Learning Dashboard and also worked with Community Education in developed a 21st Century Learner program as a component of Xplore that used Clever. I have worked closely with Canvas since MPS first adopted it in 2014.
Currently, I oversee Canvas and the Online Instructional Design Coaches at the high school. I support 7th-12th grade Canvas use as well as works closely with Professional Learning and Adult Education.
I am also a Pound Fitness Instructor. I enjoy teaching a drumming-inspired cardio workout that combines cardio, conditioning, and strength training, with yoga and pilates-inspired movements.
