American Heart Association - Our mission is to build healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke. That single purpose drives all we do. The need for our work is beyond question. Information is available for the following programs: Jump Rope for Heart, Hula Hoop for Heart, NFL PLAY 60 Challenge, and Healthy Schools Program. American Heart Association also has resources for the classroom, gym, schools, caregivers, etc. |

First Tee - The First Tee is a World Golf Foundation initiative dedicated to providing young people of all backgrounds an opportunity to develop, through golf and character education, life-enhancing values such as honesty, integrity and sportsmanship. Our goal is to provide the golf learning facilities and the experience that will enable kids from every walk of life to partake of a game that teaches values for life and which can be played for a lifetime. |

Jump Rope for Heart - Jump Rope For Heart (JRFH) is a national fundraising program sponsored jointly by AAHPERD and AHA. JRFH is a valuable program that promotes physical activity, heart healthy living, and community service to children. JRFH is targeted at students in elementary schools, but anyone can hold a program at their school, child care center, community center, or anywhere! |

Kids Rock Stars - Kids Rock Stars is a walking/running program in elementary schools. Children track their activities throughout the year and are sometimes joined by parent walking groups on the campus. |

Walk On! - Sponsored by Blue Cross Blue Shield. Challenges 5th graders in the month of February to exercise at least 60 minutes a day.
Students who exercised 1,680 minutes or more during the month of February were eligible to win one of five Wii® Fit games or one of 40 iPod® shuffles in a drawing. The winning students received their prizes in April. All students who participated in the Challenge received a popular drawstring backpack and reward certificate for their efforts to be healthy. |
