Biography

Welcome to elementary physical education!

I am a graduate of Red Mountain High School and I have been teaching physical education in Mesa since 1999! I have also been an elementary Assistant Principal for Mesa Public Schools for three years. I am a graduate of Arizona State University, I have a BS degree in Exercise Science and Physical Education as well an M.Ed degree in Curriculum and Instruction and an M.Ed degree in Educational Administration. I have a true passion for helping children learn and grow in a fun and exciting classroom!

Our Elementary Physical Education program is designed to teach your child about the benefits of physical activity and a healthy lifestyle. We participate in a variety of programs to help promote physical activity including the American Heart Association Jump Rope for Heart, the NFL PLAY 60 Program, and Blue Cross Blue Shield Walk On! Program.
Our P.E. program has been nationally recognized by the Alliance for a Healthier Generation as both Silver and Bronze schools! We have also been awarded a Let's Move! Active Schools, an award for creating a healthy, physically active, and nutrition total school program.
Your child has PE twice a week so feel free to drop in and play with us or join us at any special event! I am at Field on M/TH and travel to Red Mountain Ranch and MacArthur Elementary on T/W/F.
