Early Explorations In Mesa, Kindergarten social science activities are integrated into the Early Explorations program and other curriculum areas.

Everyone Is Special This thematic unit focuses on how each child is a unique individual. It combines science, health, and social studies concepts.
Primary Social Studies Skills This hands-on program engages students in activities that introduce, develop, and apply basic social studies concepts and skills. The twenty lessons focus on the familiar world of home, school, and neighborhood.

 Primary Social Studies Skills
This hands-on program engages students in activities that introduce, develop, and help students to apply basic social studies concepts and skills. The twenty-five lessons focus on the neighborhood and rural communities.
 Scarcity
This unit is an introduction to the concepts of economics. It focuses on the basic economic principles that affect each student's life now and in the future.
 Transportation & Safety
Students explore different modes of modern transportation. They also learn the safety rules for walking, swimming, riding a bicycle, and riding in an automobile.

 STOP! THINK! DECIDE! The activities in this unit are designed to help students understand why we have rules and to learn decision-making skills.

 Every Drop Counts This unit includes activities designed to make students more aware of the role that water plays in their lives, and how habits have a direct effect on the amount of water used in our homes.
Arizona Adventures in Time and Place Adopted textbook provides for social science instruction focused on the state of Arizona.
Arizona Desk Map Student booklets and desk maps are available to supplement the adopted curriculum.
Arizona Graphic Learning Student booklets are available from MDC to supplement the adopted curriculum. Student desk maps are located at schools.
 Native Americans of Arizona This unit is dedicated to the Native Americans of Arizona. It provides students of all origins an opportunity to recognize all they have in common while celebrating their unique differences. The unit profiles four Native Americans (from Arizona) and explores such elements as the importance of family, goal setting, and overcoming obstacles in the fulfillment of dreams.
 A Study of...Mexico This unit includes hands-on activities to explore the geography, history, traditions, and culture of Mexico. It also models how a country could be studied by looking for the answers to key questions.

 America's Story Provides for social science instruction focused on the United States of America.
