Ms. Lindsey Cassidy

Hi there! I am Lindsey Cassidy; Early Childhood Special Education Teacher at the East Mesa Early Childhood Education Center (EMECEC).  I am a 4th generation teacher who has been raised in and out of the classroom because not only are my parents educators but so are my aunts, uncles, and grandparents.

I must say I tried to be different and I did earn my Bachelor of Science in International Hospitality Hotel and Restaurant Management (I wanted to be rich and travel) but soon found that I did not have the heart to fire people or make savvy business decisions. What can I say, I was raised to always look out for the underdog and always give people a 2nd chance.  After this reality check I decided to stop fighting fate and to do as I was born to do and teach!  I earned my Cross Categorical Special Education Certification and began to work for Mesa Public Schools where work became my passion.

In 2009 I began to work on my Masters in Early Childhood Special Education.  I finished my program of study in July of 2010.  I am now toying with the idea of going back to school to become a Speech and Language Pathologist. At this moment it is just a dream but who knows maybe someday it will become a reality.

Currently I live in Mesa, AZ with my family (Edward and our 4 kids).  I thank you for entrusting me to enrich your child’s life as well as to let you know it is an honor and I will do my best to “teach them well!”
