Mrs. Cynthia Dobson
Hi! My name is Cynthia Dobson. I am excited to start my 16th year of teaching. I have been a teacher at Emerson for 14 years. I graduated from Arizona State University with my Bachelor's Degree in English and Master's Degree in Elementary Education. I have taught 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 6th grade.
I grew up in Whittier, California. I moved to Arizona when I was fourteen. I graduated from Dobson High School in Mesa. I am married and the proud mother of 6 sons. My favorite thing to do is sit on Mission Beach and watch my kids play in the ocean.
"If you can dream it, you can do it," Walt Disney.
My goal this year is to make learning fun while pushing students to meet high expectations. I became a teacher to make a difference in as many lives as possible. I have an English degree and I want to inspire my love of writing onto my students.
Policies and Procedures
Emerson uses "PBIS" (Positive, Behavioral, Intervention, & Supports). We set expectations and build positive behavior. We also incorporate the six pillars of character into our discipline program.
I am proud to be a teacher and would like to thank you for giving me the opportunity to be your child's teacher. If you need to contact me for any reason please call the classroom number or email me and I will get back to you.
