Class Rules:

We Promise to:

♥   Listen

♥   Show Respect

♥   Solve Our Problems

♥   Be Awesome!

Each rule has been taught using the 6 Character Counts traits.

Caring—Are you kind with your words and actions?  Do you help others?  Are you thankful for what others do for you?

Fairness—Do you play by the rules?  Do you take turns and share?  Do you speak up if you know something is unfair?

Respect—Do you treat others the way you would want to be treated?  Are you polite and courteous?  Do you treat others well even if they look, act, or believe differently than you do?

Trustworthiness—Are you honest in your words and actions?  Do you keep your promises? Are you a good friend?

Responsibility—Do you do what you are suppose to do?  Do you think how your actions will affect others?  Do you always try your best?

Citizenship—Do you cooperate with others?  Do you obey rules and laws?  Do you do your share to make your school and neighborhood better?  Do you help protect the Earth?

Bucket Fillers:  “Bucket fillers” are those students who make good choices throughout the day.  By following our classroom rules we “fill” everyone’s bucket (including our own) with kindness and caring.  When we make a poor choice, we "dip" into the bucket.  We track these behaviors on a classroom chart using green, yellow and red cards.
