Biography

This is my fifth year at Emerson Elementary teaching 1st ELD. The first three years I taught a K/1 ELD combo class. I earned my bachelor's degree from Arizona State in Multilingual Multicultural Education. I recently obtained my Early Childhood Endorsement last summer. This year I am pursuing my Master's in Curriculum and Instruction in English Speakers of Other Languages from Concordia University.

I am from Arizona.  I was born in Mesa, raised in Chandler, and now I moved back to Mesa.  I am the only native in my family.

My immediate family lives in Arizona. I have a brother who is thirteen years older than me. My mom was a teacher for the Mesa District as well. I like to include my dog, Sammy, as a part of my family also!

In high school, I was involved in the Book club and the National Honor Society.  In college, I was involved Phi Theta Kappa (Honor Society).

In my spare time, I enjoy reading, playing the piano, taking pictures (I love to visit Arizona and take pictures), spending time with family and friends.
