I can't believe this is my twelfth year at Emerson! What a privilege it is to be your child's kindergarten teacher for a year. This year, your child will learn to count to 100, read, write, and most of all, think and question. I can't for these kindergartners to graduate from college -- some of my earlier ones already have!
If I can ever assist you in any way with food, clothing, or supplies, please let me know. If you ever have any questions, please feel free to ask me.
I have been married for 32 years. Our oldest son graduated from Stanford University with a Master's, and is currently pursuing his PhD at the University of Arizona. Our youngest son completed his MBA at Texas A&M University and married a beautiful Texan named Sydney. They are parents to a son named Sammy. Both of my sons are Eagle Scouts. Our third child (a daughter) is recently graduated with her Master's in Environmental Microbiology from The University of Arizona. She is currently working for Americorps in Phoenix. Both my husband and I are Native Californians, but my husband's company relocated us to Arizona in 2005.
I have a Master's Degree in Early Literacy from Walden University; I completed my Multi-Subject Teaching Credential at Cal-Poly Pomona University; and I received my Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
I currently hold Arizona teaching credentials. I hold the Standard Elementary Education, Grades 1-8 Certificate. I have the English as a Second Language K-12 Endorsement and Early Childhood Education Endorsement. I have a Provisional Gifted Endorsement too. I continue to take many professional development courses through Mesa Public Schools and the surrounding community to enhance my classroom experience.
