I am a native New Yorker, having relocated to Chandler, AZ in 2004. I hold an Ed.S. degree in Education/Teacher Leadership from Walden University, an M.Ed. in Education/Instructional Technology from American Intercontinental University, and a B.B.A. degree in Business Administration from The Bernard M. Baruch College/City University of New York. I am certified to teach elementary education 1st - 8th grade, CTE-Education & Training, CTE-Business & Marketing, Adult Education, and I hold the full SEI k-12 endorsement as well as the Early Childhood Endorsement/Birth-Age 8. I earned my certification in Online/Instructional Effectiveness from Washington State University in 2014; and I am currently enrolled at Rio Salado College fulfilling my Special Education TIR requirements.
I taught early childhood education at Temple Emanuel Yad B' Yad Pre-school in Tempe, AZ for three years. I spent 3 years as a primary educator for Mosaica Education, in Ahwatukee, AZ. Before moving to Arizona I taught cultural diversity lessons/activities at The Spring School in New Jersey for Kindergarten through 2nd grade, for two years. This will be my 4th year at Emerson, 1st year in Special Education. I have substituted for MPS, since 2010. Prior to entering the field of Education, I spent 15 years in corporate America working in corporate training, diversity training, finance, and marketing for some of the largest financial institutions in the world...Citicorp, Mutual of New York/AXA Financial, Dean Witter, and the American Stock Exchange.
My husband and I have shared 28 amazing years together, we will celebrate 23 years of marriage in September. We have two wonderful children, a daughter, studying Law at the University of Arizona, and a son studying Engineering at the University of Arizona "Go Wildcats!". I enjoy reading, going to the theatre, traveling, dancing, cooking, knitting, and watching movies.
