Mr. Underwood teaches at Entz Monday through Friday. Mr. Todd teaches at Entz Monday and Wednesday.
Entz students receive physical education instruction two times a week (30-minutes each session) for grades K-6. Young kindergarten students receive one 30-minute visit per week. Each physical education meeting consists of a warm-up, fitness, lesson focus, and game.
All students are encouraged to wear appropriate “action clothes” for each P.E. session. Action clothes are as follows: sport shoes, shorts, a comfortable cotton T- shirt, and little if any jewelry complete the P.E. dress code.
The physical education curriculum consists of a wide variety of activities including rope climbing, soccer, football, basketball, gymnastics, rope jumping, throwing skills, recreational activities, volleyball, hula hoops, hockey, track and field, juggling, racquet sports, dance, fitness testing, baseball, balance beams, cross country, and many others. Any student(s) excused from physical education, with permission, will spend the thirty-minute session in the media center completing classroom work, reading, or working from physical education study worksheets (provided by our PE specialists.)
You are always welcome to visit and participate with your child during any physical education class. Check the Entz Echo for upcoming physical education events, which take place during the course of the year.
P.E. is great at Entz!
