Welcome Sixth Graders!

Biography

I grew up in Plain City, Utah and spent the first 19 years of my life there.  I have lived in Utah, Nevada, California, and Arizona. I moved to Mesa twenty five years ago.  I enjoy the community and my children have graduated from Mesa Public Schools.

I have been teaching in Mesa for seventeen years.  Teaching is a second career for me.  My first degree is Business Management.  I have an Elementary Education Certificate as well as a Cross Categorical Certificate in Special Education.  I also have a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction.  I feel like I have come home by coming back to elementary school.  I love my job.

I love to read and read several books every year.  I think my Kindle is the best Mother's Day gift ever!!  I also enjoy crocheting and baking cookies.  I like to go boating and camping with my family.   I have one son and two daughters. My children are all grown. My oldest daughter is the mother of my two beautiful granddaughters, Evelyn and Ellanore.  My youngest daughter is the mother of the cutest baby boy ever!  I love being a grandma. I love doing anything that involves my wonderful children.

I am excited for the new school year.  I can't wait to get to know all the students and experience 6th grade!  Please come meet me at Meet the Teacher Night on Monday, August 6, 2018 at 5:00.
