Dear Fourth Grade Friend,
Welcome to fourth grade! I am guessing that you are excited about learning at school! I am too! You will be amazed at all the new skills you will learn this year! We are going to have a wonderful time learning and growing together. I can’t wait to find out more about you!
I hope you had a great summer. When I was your age, I loved to spend my summer camping with my family and playing outside with my friends. I grew up in Idaho and the summers were much cooler than they are here in Mesa. I also loved hiking, swimming, bike riding and book reading. In the winter we always had snow. I loved going cross country skiing and snowmobiling. I built a snowman every year and I sometimes ran barefoot out in the cold snow! Now that I am older, I still like to do many of the same activities. I have 3 children and love to spend time with them. Amanda is my oldest daughter, followed by Kaitlin and Sarah. Kaitlin and Sarah both attended Entz too!
I’m looking forward to meeting you and your family at our school’s Meet the Teacher Night, Monday, August 7th from 5:00 -6:00. You will be able to explore your new classroom, find your desk, meet your classmates, pick up some materials and look around at our school. Finally, don’t forget the first day of school is Wednesday, August 9th at 7:40 a.m. Another important date for you to put on your calendar is our school's Parent Information Night on Thursday, August 31st, 3:00-5:00. See you soon! I’m so glad you’re in my class. Get ready for an exciting year of discovery together!
Your new teacher,
