Educational Background
I earned a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from ASU and a Master's degree in Elementary Education from NAU. I have 15 credit hours from NAU and Ottawa University in Gifted education and have my Gifted endorsement. I also have an endorsement in reading and English as a second language for an additional 45 hours past my Master's Degree.
This year is my 34th year teaching for Mesa Public Schools. I started my career at Holmes Elementary teaching 4th grade. Then I moved to Porter Elementary where I taught 3rd grade. I was at Fremont Jr. High for 11 years, teaching 8th grade science and Honors science. This is my ninth year teaching the Gifted and Talented program for Mesa Public Schools.
I feel blessed to have the privilege and opportunity to teach gifted and talented children. They constantly keep me learning and growing as a teacher and person.
