Greetings! My name is Mrs. Notch and I am your fifth grade teacher this 2017-2018 school year!
This is my second year at Entz, but I have been a teacher since 1997. I was born and raised in Southern California and began my teaching career in South Orange County. I spent the first years of my teaching journey with fifth and sixth graders. During this time I earned my Master's Degree in Administration from Concordia University in Irvine, California. It was then that I spent time as an intern as an Activities Director at a local high school.
Seven years ago, my husband and I moved our family to Arizona. We settled in the San Tan Valley and I began teaching in the primary grades. I taught Kindergarten, First and Second grades. When the opportunity presented itself to return to the upper grades, I jumped at the chance!
My husband and I have been married for 23 years and have three kids and two dogs (Bella and Jed) at home. Our two daughters are attending Entz in the 3rd and 6th grades. Our son has just begun 8th grade.
Besides teaching, I love baseball (Go Angels!), ice hockey (Go Ducks!) and curling up with a good book (I should own stock in Amazon)! I'm a sucker for good Mexican food and have a new found love for iced coffee (Dutch Bros FTW!)! On the weekends you can find me shuttling my daughters to cheer competitions and my son to computer coding classes. I am truly fortunate to have found a home at Entz and look forward to getting to know you all better.
