Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year at East Valley Academy, Crossroads and the FLEX Learning Lab!  My name is Justine Pilar and I am excited to start my third year as the Team Leader. I am thrilled to serve the community in this capacity and my door is always open.

Prior to my time at EVA, I taught choral music at Westwood High School, Williams Field High School, Gateway Pointe, Higley Middle School and Woodstock Middle School. I also coached boys/girls tennis and badminton which allowed me to work with students in a variety of capacities.

I grew up in Connecticut and attended the University of New Hampshire (go Wildcats!). I moved to Arizona in 2005 to pursue my doctoral degree at Arizona State University.  My graduate work is in both Music Education and Administrative Leadership. When I am not at school, I can be found spending time at home with my husband, Adam, our twins, Aiden & Madeline and our two Jack Russell Terriers, Lilly & Ponder.
