The responsibility of the resource teacher is to address the educational needs of a variety of students, regardless of their educational classification. I strive to make each of my students accountable and successful alongside their peers, and give them strategies to help them in the regular classroom. This is an individualized program, allowing for different learning styles and personal strengths and needs.
I attended Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Special Education in 1986. I began my teaching career in Apache Junction, first as a Resource teacher for children with Learning Disabilities, then moving to the Special Needs Preschool program.
In 1994 I completed my Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction, also through Northern Arizona University. In 1995 I moved to Mesa, and began teaching at Lehi Elementary. I transferred to Falcon Hill in 1999, and have been working with students in the Resource program ever since. I am honored to have this opportunity to share in your child's educational experience.
