A
tax credit is a dollar-for-dollar reduction in the actual tax owed.
For example, if you owe $800 in state income taxes and you donate
$400 to a public school for extracurricular activities, you may
subtract
the $400 from your tax bill and pay the state just $400.

Grade: K-6
Activity: All grades at Field Elementary School
utilize ECA monies to help fund field trips. The dollars help support
busses, admission, instructional materials and insurance. The field
trips provide students with a variety of hands on experiences. It
takes about $400 to begin to arrange busses for one grade level
to travel approximately the distance of the Phoenix Zoo.
Grade: 4-6
Activity: The band and orchestra programs at Field
use ECA monies to help pay for the rentals, purchase and repair
of musical instruments for students that could not otherwise afford
to participate in these programs.
Grade: 5-6
Activity: ECA funds support technology and computer
lab upgrades. We utilize the computers for after school computer
and video club. Students learn how to photograph, edit and compose
video for a Video Yearbook recording the events of the school year.
Grade K-6
Activity: ECA Funds support Chorus, Geography Club
and “Jump On”, a physical fitness jump rope club.
