Through a joint venture between Mesa Public Schools and Boeing, Mesa 's fifth grade students have the unique opportunity to extend and apply their knowledge about the scientific principles of flight. Mesa is the only district in the nation to provide this program. Each year more than 150 classes, approximately 4000 fifth graders, visit Mesa's Flight Centers. This motivational experience uses the theme of aviation to capture the imagination of students and engage them in a variety of learning activities.
Flight Center Mission Statement:  

It is our goal to educate students about the scientific principles of flight and to motivate them to achieve by providing a positive, unique, extended learning experience that enhances the state standards in science, math, reading and writing.
