The Night Vision Experience was dedicated on January 20, 2002. This dedication culminated an 18 month project involving Litton Electro Optical Systems (now known as Northrop Grumman Electro Optical Systems). Only through the hard work and dedication of the Northrop Grumman crew could such a project take place. With the addition of the Night Vision Experiece to the Lowell Flight Center, we have created a one of a kind facility found no where else in the world!

We would also like to acknowledge the efforts of Dennis Schmickley of the Boeing Company. Through his participation in this project we were able to bring the science and physics of vision into the classroom and apply this knowledge in the field. Dennis began the night time field trips to Usery Park in northeast Mesa where students were able to experience the thrill of seeing in the total darkness using the Northrop Grumman night vision equipment.

These partnerships have given the students of Mesa an incredible opportunity to learn and study through the use of leading edge technology. We thank Northrop Grumman and the Boeing Company for their dedication and efforts for the students of Arizona.
