Extra Curricular Activity (ECA)


Arizona law provides a tax credit for contributions made to public schools in Arizona to support extra curricular activities. With your contribution, you will support Franklin students and possibly lower your tax bill. This state tax credit is available to all qualifying Arizona taxpayers.  You do not need a child enrolled at Franklin to take advantage of this state tax credit.

A tax credit is different from a deduction because you may subtract the whole contribution from your Arizona state tax bill.  An individual may contribute as much as as $200, and a couple filing jointly may contribute as much as $400. Your contribution will remain at Franklin, and will be used for student programs.

This past year, ECA funds to Franklin Schools helped pay for field trips, library books, summer school, new band and orchestra instruments after-school sports, entrance fees for spelling and geography bee, plaques, and trophies.
