Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year! I want to thank you for sending your student to Franklin Jr. High, it is my hope this school year to engage, challenge, and support your student through our American History curriculum. I consider it an honor to be working with you and your student, teaching them about our nation’s history! By the end of the school year your student will have been exposed to every historical period spanning the Civil War to Modern Times.Through each historical era we will look at economics, government, culture and geography. We will also be covering current events through the use of Channel One and other online resources. Please click here for a complete list of classroom policies and procedures.
If you could please take a moment to subscribe to our course newsletter where you will receive course updates as well as important reminders about school events. I would greatly appreciate it! I look forward to meeting you at our curriculum night on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at 6:00pm. Until then if you have any questions or concerns about the classroom guidelines, or if you would like to introduce yourself please feel free to contact me by either email or phone. I am on your student’s team and am willing to help any way I can.
