Biography

I am a 1992 graduate of Arizona State University with a degree in elementary education.  I hold both Elementary and Secondary Education Teaching Certificates with Early Childhood, SEI, K-12 Gifted Education, and K-8 Mathematics Endorsements.  I meet the state's requirements for highly qualified professionals.  I continue to attend district offered professional development opportunities on a regular basis as my commitment to life long learning.  I finished my masters degree program in Mathematics Education in 2013, earning Summa Cum Laude recognition. This year marks my 17th year with MPS.

My husband and I celebrated 28 years of marriage this year and have raised two amazing humans.

Jace is an ASU graduate of Mechanical Engineering earning Cum Laude recognition from the Class of 2018.  He commissioned as a 1st Lt. in the United States Marine Corps in May and is currently stationed in Pensacola, Florida. He is in various stages of flight school and has been selected to fly the V22 Osprey.

Mali is a 2016 RMHS graduate and is pursuing a career as a physical therapy assistant.  Since completing her program of study with Pima Medical Institute in 2019, her current focus is obtaining her licensure in the state of Arizona.  She is excited to join a field to help patients regain their mobility and strengthen themselves in an effort to enjoy a greater quality of life.

We also have 2 rescue dogs, Sam and Lucy, who make every day interesting.
