The goal of Mesa Public Schools Junior High Athletics Program is to involve as many students as possible in a wide variety of sports while developing their skills in a competitive environment in order to prepare them for high school both as students and athletes.
We appreciate your attendance and participation in Fremont Junior High School Athletics program. At Fremont we encourage and expect respectful interactions between competitors, spectators, and officials.
1st QUARTER: Boys Basketball, Girls Soccer, Wrestling
2nd QUARTER: Baseball, Softball, Boys Volleyball

Second quarter sports 2021-2022 Tryout schedule: (once tryouts begin any changes will be communicated by the coach to the students directly)

Boys' Volleyball: Tuesday, 10/12, Wednesday, 10/13, Thursday 10/14, right after school, in the Gym.
Baseball 7th and 8th grades: Monday 10/11, Tuesday, 10/12, Wednesday 10/13, right after school on the baseball field
8th grade Softball: Monday 10/11, Thursday 10/14, Friday 10/15, right after school on the baseball field
7th grade Softball: Wednesday 10/13, Thursday 10/14, Friday 10/15, right after school on the baseball fields.
Coaches will communicate directly with student athletes and parents regarding the practice schedules. As these can be subject to change more frequently, practice schedules are not maintained online by the office staff.
Game schedules are posted on Fremont's calendar - click More on the navigation bar at the top of this page, and select Calendar from the drop down. You can also find game schedules on the district Athletic site.
In order to tryout, one of the Permission to Participate forms must be filled out. Both are linked below. The top one is an Online version, which is the easiest. The other must be printed, filled out, signed, and sent with your student to be given to the coach on the first day of practice.
DO NOT FILL OUT THE ONLINE FORM BEFORE THE SEASON FOR WHICH YOUR STUDENT WANTS TO TRY OUT.
