October Fremont Staff of the Month:  Your votes have been counted and October Fremont Staff of the Month are Mrs. Geair and Mr. Todd Frank.

Boo-Gram Sales:  Student Council will be selling Boo Grams to help celebrate Halloween with our Fremont Family! Sales will occur daily during both lunches in front of Room 92. Cost is $2 each or 3 for $5! Get yours before they sell out!! Deliveries will be on Tuesday, October 31st.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month:   Your Fremont Student Council will be holding weekly events & activities to raise awareness & money for cancer research.
On Wednesdays We Wear PINK! Wednesdays we will also be selling PINK breast cancer awareness bracelets for $1 in front of the library...sport your PINK to show support & you'll also earn a raffle ticket for some great prizes!
Coins 4 Tutus: You can also vote each morning with your coin/dollar donations in front of the library for your favorite (or not so favorite) teacher to wear a PINK tutu all day each Friday!  So search the couch cushions & under the car seats for some spare change & THINK PINK throughout October for the battle against

STAR Event:  Teachers, an email came out yesterday listing all students and their event selection for the STAR event on Friday. Please take a moment during 1st hour today to review your student’s choices and make sure all your students are signed up. If a student is not currently signed up, please send an email to Mrs. McKeen. Students are not currently allowed to sign themselves up as the link has been closed. Students may not switch events as attendance will be taken. Again, please take a moment to review your 1st hour students event with them. This will ensure a smooth transition on Friday from announcements to the beginning of the STAR event.

If you are signed up for the Pool event tomorrow at the STAR activity, please report directly to the basketball courts for attendance. Bring your swimsuit and anything else you will need to participate in swimming.

Sports:  Second quarter sports tryouts will begin Tuesday, the 17th, after October break immediately after school for baseball, softball and boys volleyball. Please pick up a permission to participate form in the front office. You will need to bring that signed by a parent or guardian on the day of tryouts.

Attention first quarter sports athletes...if you still have your uniform, please turn it in immediately to Mrs. McKeen or Coach Harvey before October break. Thank you.

Hispanic American of the Day:  Hispanic American of the Day: NFL legend Jim Plunkett is a two-time Super Bowl winner with the Oakland Raiders. Jim was born in San Jose, CA to Mexican-American parents. Plunkett won the 1970 Heisman Trophy while playing college football at Stanford University. He was the 1st pick in the 1971 NFL draft.

Fremont Spelling Bee:  Are you a great speller? The Fremont spelling bee will be held October 26th, and the winner will go on to compete in the district spelling bee in January. If you would like to participate, see your English teachers for more information and study materials.

Early Release:  Early Release this Friday, October 6th at 1:50 p.m.

October Break:  October break will be October 9th-13th.  School will resume on Monday, October 16th

School Spirit:  Tomorrow is the Day.  So get out your purple and join our Fremont Falcons to celebrate our weekly Spirit Day   

College Spotlight:   UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII

The University of Hawaii System was founded in 1907.  UH is a public, co-educational college and university system that confers associate, bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees through 3 university campuses, 7 community colleges campuses and employment training center, 3 university centers, 4 educational centers and various other research facilities distributed across six islands through the state of Hawaii.

PTO/SIAC/TITLE 1 Meeting:  Parents/Guardians you are all invited to attend the   PTO/SIAC/Title 1.   It is Monday, October 16th at 4 pm in the media center.

Coffee with the Principal:  Please join us for "Coffee with the Principal"-Thursday, October 19th at 9:15 am in the front office. Come visit with Mr. Roberts about Fremont!

Professional Development Late Start:   Professional Development Late start will be on Wednesday, November 1st School will start at 11:05, buses run 2 hours later.
