Fremont Safe Space: Today after school the Fremont Safe Space will be meeting. Feel free to come if you want to find friends and have a safe space to be. Come from 4-5 in Miss Senger's Room 21. Please plan to have a ride ready to collect you at 5 o'clock
Registration Forms: Any students who have received a yellow registration form, Please bring to front office. It must have your parents signatures.
Food Drive: Your Fremont Student Council is sponsoring a food drive in partnership with the United Food Bank of Arizona for needy families right here in Maricopa County! To motivate your donations, this food drive will be a contest between the 4th hour classes. The 4th period class with the most NON-PERISHABLE foods donated will earn a pizza party! There will be a November winner AND a December winner! So start bringing in your NON-PERISHABLE foods (canned goods, pastas, rice, cereal, peanut butter, etc.) to your 4th hour class & let's do some good!
Builders Club: Students:
Fremont Service Builders Club and Student Council are still in need of bags of
candy (preferably candy that will not melt) prior to Nov. 9th. Suggested items
include smarties, bubble gum, dum-dums, and tootsie rolls.
If you can donate candy to help that would be great. Please drop candy off in room 96 or 52. Thanks for your help in making the parade enjoyable for participants.
Attention Service Builders Club members! Due to the amount of presents that still need to be wrapped and put together we are having another present wrapping meeting for Operation Christmas Child after school this Thursday in room 53. If you are in Ms. Sutton or Ms. Geair's classes and you need a service project this meeting counts, but anyone who wants to help is more than welcome to attend!
Sports: Congratulations to the Boys Volleyball team with their win over Smith Junior High. Outstanding serves and rallies lead to the team's win over Smith. Great job gentlemen! Your coach is proud of you.
Harkins Fundraiser: Harkins Fundraiser going on through November 17th. Fremont Junior High PTO is selling Harkins Movie Theater Loyalty products and gift cards as a fundraiser. These make great holiday gifts while supporting our school.
Native American of the Day:
Elizabeth "Betty" Tall Chief is considered America's first major prima ballerina and was the first Native American to hold the rank. Tall Chief was born in Oklahoma as a member of the Osage Nation. Her role as the Sugarplum Fairy in The Nutcracker transformed the ballet from obscure to America's most popular. She traveled the world and made regular appearances on American TV before she retired in 1966. In 1996, Tallchief received a Kennedy Center Honor for lifetime achievements. Her life has been the subject of multiple documentaries and biographies.
College Day: Thursdays are College Days! Support your favorite college by wearing their College shirt or colors.
No school: No School on Friday November 10th for Veterans Day.
No School on November 23 and 24th for Thanksgiving break.
Parent Education Night: Tonight, Wednesday, November 8th and 6 pm in the Media Center. Bullying Presented by “Not my Kid”. This is a parent only event that is taught by current and former law enforcement officers.
PTO/SIAC/TITLE 1 Meeting: Parents/Guardians you are all invited to attend the PTO/SIAC/Title 1. It is Monday, November 13th at 4 pm in the media center.
Coffee with the Principal: Please join us for "Coffee with the Principal" Tuesday, November 14th at 9:15 am in the front office. Come visit with Mr. Roberts about Fremont!
