Announcements for 12-21-2017


SECOND SEMESTER SCHEDULE:  All students will receive a new copy of their SECOND semester schedule on January 8, 2018. Students should report to their Fall 1st hour class to pick up their SECOND semester schedules.  Schedules will also be available on-line.

Spirit Week:    Today is Crazy Christmas Sock Day - come by the office & show us your craziest holiday socks for your raffle ticket! Tomorrow is Ugly Christmas Sweater Day - hit the Goodwill or put together your own with mom's glue gun! The raffle for all this week's participants will be tomorrow afternoon for an awesome prize!

PBIS Event:  Teachers please review your PBIS events with your students before moving on today.  If they are not signed up please send them to see Mrs. McKeen in the office.  Thanks for your support of the program.

SportsFor those wanting to tryout for girls volleyball or coed flag football, please swing by the front office and pick up a permission to participate form.  You will need to have this signed by a parent/guardian and bring it with you the day of the tryouts.  Tryouts will be held the first week of school following winter break, starting on Tuesday.  Cross country will not have tryouts - whomever wants to participate can join the team.  The first cross country meeting will be held on Monday January 8th directly after school on the Red Mountain High School Track.  Please see the front office for any additional information.

StAR Tickets:  Did you know today is the last day to get your StAR tickets into the quarterly drawing. We have a free yearbook, zoo passes, and some really cool Suns basketball gear. While you are in the Media Center make sure to put tickets into the bi-weekly drawing for gift cards and enter your guess for the Book-in-a Jar contest. All the winners will be drawn later today and announced tomorrow morning. Get your winning tickets in and don't forget to listen for your name tomorrow! Good luck to all!

Holiday Fact:   The Salvation Army has been sending Santa Claus-clad donation collectors into the streets since the 1890s.

The Elf Hunt:  Today is the last day to spot Elfina on the Shelfina.   If you spot her, please report her location to the front office for your daily prize & a raffle ticket.  Student Council “Elf Hunt” Grand prize drawing will be tomorrow, Friday December 22nd.

Winter Break:  School will be closed for Winter break December 25th – January 5th

PTO/SIAC/TITLE 1 Meeting:  Parents/Guardians you are all invited to attend the   PTO/SIAC/Title 1., Monday, January 8th at 4 pm in the media center.

Coffee with the Principal:  Please join us for "Coffee with the Principal" Tuesday, January 9th at 9:15 am in the front office. Come visit with Mr. Roberts about Fremont!
