Career and Technical Education
I will be doing Help Sessions to assist students in the mornings from 8:30-9:00 or by appointment (call or email me) if needed. Days and times are subject to change due to meetings or other teaching commitments.
Please note that we run on an early release schedule on Wednesdays.
I started my teaching career in 2000 teaching fourth grade at Eisenhower Elementary School. In 2002, I moved to Keller Elementary School where I taught third, fourth and sixth grade. In 2008, I moved up to junior high and taught English at Mesa Junior High, before moving to Fremont in 2011 where I have enjoyed teaching eighth grade honors English and seventh grade English. About seven years ago, I transitioned into Career & Technical Education (CTE) where I enjoy teaching computers, graphic design and coding.
I graduated in 1999 from Ottawa University with a Bachelors in Education and in 2004 I received my Masters Degree in Multicultural Education from Northern Arizona University.
I have been married for 31 years to my wonderful husband, Todd and I have been blessed with two wonderful children that amaze me every day. In addition, I share my home with an nine-year old Australian Shepherd, T-Bear. I enjoy coffee, hiking, relaxing in the pool, and football. Go Cards!
Parents: It is both a terrific privilege and responsibility to be your child's teacher this year. My youngest child had the privilege of attending Fremont a couple of years ago and she had a wonderful experience being a Falcon. I am looking forward to a year filled with success where you child can grow and develop life skills that will help them in their future. Thank you for sharing your child with me.
