Math Intervention Calendar
Hi Falcons! My name is Ms. Hovey and I am your math intervention teacher for the 2021-2022 school year! I was also a student in Mesa Public Schools when I was a kid. I attended Stevenson Elementary, Patterson Elementary, Smith Junior High, and Skyline High School. After graduation, I moved to Tucson, Arizona and attended The University of Arizona. I graduated from there with a Bachelor's Degree in Family Studies and Human Development. After that, I attended Arizona State University to earn my teaching certificate and Master's of Education in Special Education. I am certified in Arizona to teach Elementary Education (1-8) and highly qualified in special education (K-12) and middle grades math (6-8). Some of my favorite things to do outside of being your teacher is watching true crime documentaries on Netflix, being out on water, and hanging out with my dog, Maddie. I can't wait for this exciting school year with you and your family!
2021-2022 School Year
This year I will be teaching 7th grade math intervention (skill builder). In this class, we will be focusing on supplementing what students are learning in their general math class and continuing to build their basic math skills. We will be completing lots of projects, activities, and participating in many games! I can't wait to meet all of the new Fremont Falcons!
