Biography

Hello, students and parents!  My name is Monica Palmer, and I am happy to have your child in my class this year.  I hope you will find this page informative and useful.

I am excited to be starting my third year here at Fremont and my ninth year of teaching.  I grew up right here in Mesa, graduating from Mountain View High School in 2004.  After graduation, I attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, graduating with a bachelor's degree in English Teaching with a minor in French.  After three years of teaching in northern Utah, I soon began working on a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction at Weber State University in Ogden, Utah.  After completing this degree (and enduring some bitter, snowy winters), I decided it was finally time to come home to the Valley of the Sun.  I love being a part of the district that served me so well as a student, and am looking forward to another great year here at Fremont.

If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me at the number listed above, or by e-mail by clicking on the e-mail link provided above.

Tutoring Hours:  My official tutoring hours are on Monday and Thursday from 8:20-9:00 a.m.  Students are more than welcome to come in for help at other times, including during 2nd lunch, by appointment.
