Welcome to my page. This is my 12th year teaching in the Mesa Public School District and as a member of Career and Technical Education department. This year our school will offer CB02: Computer Essentials which is mandatory for all seventh students and GV01: Introduction to Video Production, sponsored by Career and Technical Education (CTE). Additionally, we will offer an advanced version of GV01 to students who are interested in television broadcasting as we will produce morning announcements.
Here is a little about me: I'm a father of five, (pardon my proud daddy mode) of which all have attended and/or completed 4-year institutions.
I served my country for 24 years in the United States Air Force as a Non-Commissioned Officer in Logistics. While serving, I had the opportunity to travel to many places both foreign and domestic. I began my career right here at Williams AFB, Chandler, AZ, which is now the ASU Polytech campus. Later I was re-assigned to Ramstein AB Germany and lived in the town of Kaiserslautern for three years. While in Germany I had the opportunity to travel to Spain, Frankfurt, Luxembourg, Trier, Amsterdam Holland, Athens Greece, SHAPE Belgium and Berlin (before the Berlin Wall fell). The Troop Train ride had to be one of the scariest moments in my life. There were many other exciting places that I had the opportunity to visit. Here are a couple more: Cairo Egypt and Seoul Korea.
I began my teaching career after retiring from the Air Force in 1999. I am excited about the opportunities that are before me here at Fremont Junior High and as an educator. My goals as a teacher is to embed the "Thirst for Knowledge" theme into the minds of all students and to give to others what has been so generously giving to me...An Opportunity to Become Successful in school and in life.
